The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal two vehicle collision that occurred on the Sardis Church Road extension near Walden Road. The incident took place around 6:34 p.m. Tuesday night.
It was reported that a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by 43-year old Anthony Bailey was traveling westbound on Sardis Church Road. It was reported that Bailey crossed over the median into the eastbound lane striking a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro head-on driven by 58-year-old Tonya Crews.
Bailey and Crews were pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner’s Office. The next of kin has been notified by the Coroner’s Office.
This fatal collision still remains under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
