The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle, fatal traffic accident that took place in the 2700 block of Napier Avenue. The accident occurred at around 9:20p.m., Saturday night.
It was reported that a 2002 Town and Country van was traveling west on Napier Avenue. The van left the roadway, near its intersection with Brentwood Avenue, and hit several trees. The driver of the van, 36-year-old Marcus Carswell of Macon was pronounced dead at the scene, by the Coroner’s office.
According to the Coroner’s Office, the next of kin has been notified.
This fatal traffic accident remains under investigation.
