The Bibb Sheriff’s Office along with the Macon-Bibb Fire Department responded to Claystone Beach, 6600 Moseley Dixon Road, at Lake Tobesofkee in regards to a possible drowning at 5:29 p.m.
Witnesses stated that 32-year-old Samuel Lamar Williams and his family were on the water in the swimming area. It was stated that Williams was on a tube floating when he fell off. He did not know how to swim and witnesses were unable to assist him before he went under.
The Macon-Bibb Fire Department along with Department of Natural Resources are attempting to locate Williams. The next of kin has been notified.
At 09:45 a.m. on June 21, 2020, the Macon-Bibb Fire Department located the body of 32-year-old Samuel Lamar Williams.
