The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that was reported at 2419 Pio Nono Avenue, Mrs. Winners restaurant, at 12:07 p.m.

Deputies responded to a call of a person that was shot inside of a truck near the roadway. When deputies and emergency services arrived, they found a male subject suffering from a gunshot wound in the driver seat. The male, later identified as 60-year-old Robert Clayton Wells of Dublin, was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced deceased. According to Coroner Leon Jones the next of kin has been notified.

Witnesses state that the suspect is described as a black male wearing all black clothing. The suspect fled the scene into the wooded area behind the restaurant.

Death Investigation on Pio Nono Avenue

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that was reported at 2419 Pio Nono Avenue, Mrs. Winners restaurant, at 12:07 p.m.

Deputies responded to a call of a person that was shot inside of a truck near the roadway. When deputies and emergency services arrived, they found a male subject suffering from a gunshot wound in the driver seat. The male was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced deceased. The name of the victim will be released once the next of kin has been notified. 

Witnesses state that the suspect is described as a black male wearing all black clothing. The suspect fled the scene into the wooded area behind the restaurant.
