The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial robbery by snatching that took place at the Family Dollar, located at 3190 Mercer University Dr. It was reported that just after 7:36a.m., a male suspect snatched a deposit bag from the store employee’s hands as the employee was leaving the store to make the morning deposit. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area on foot.
The suspect is described as a tall, slender build male, unknown race. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded jacket , blue pants ,red Halloween mask and black backpack. The suspect was unarmed.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators have obtained pictures of the suspect from the store’s surveillance video.
