Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested a Macon man in connection to the early morning, commercial burglary of a Dollar General store in south Macon. The incident took place Thursday morning, August 9, 2018, on Houston Avenue.

Investigators identified the suspect as 36 year old Damond Cain Stevens of Macon as the burglary suspect. Investigators arrested Stevens, Saturday morning in south Macon.

Stevens is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center with a $9,750.00 bond for the charges of Burglary, Theft by Deception-misdemeanor, and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property-misdemeanor.

Commercial Burglary Investigation in south Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Commercial Burglary that took place at the Dollar General, located at 3716 Houston Avenue. The incident occurred after 2:00a.m., Thursday morning.

According to the store’s security camera footage, two suspects approached the front of the store. One of the suspects kicked the plexiglass out of the door’s frame and gained entry into the store. The second suspect remained outside of the store. After entering the store, the suspect took several cigars and a dvd.

The suspect that entered the store is described as a black male with a medium build. He had a full beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing denim shorts and he also had a black colored t-shirt over his head. * Please see attached photos of the suspect
