Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies answered a call of a person down at 917Hillcrest Boulevard, L&C Convenience Store, just after 10:00 p.m. Monday night. It was reported that two customers entered the store and found the male victim lying on the floor behind the counter bleeding. The cash register was open and the drawer was empty. The customers called 911 to report what they had found.
The victim, 42 year old Brijesh Kumar Patel had been shot multiple times and was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital where he was later pronounced dead by hospital doctors. Notification of next of kin was made by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. No other information is available at this time.
