On May 1, 2019, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Medical Examiner’s Office performed the autopsy on the body found that was discovered in a house, located at 3510 Flamingo Drive. It was reported that the house caught fire on March 16, 2019.

According to the medical examiner’s preliminary findings, this incident was not a felonious death. The medical examiner’s office believes that the victim is a casualty from the fire that took place at the home on March 16th.

The victim has been identified. The victim’s name cannot be released until the next of kin has been notified.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Suspicious Death South Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and Macon-Bibb County Fire Department is investigating a suspicious death. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received a call just before 3:00 p.m. of a burned body found inside 3510 Flamingo Dr. Patrol Deputies and Fire rescue responded to the residence. Once on scene deputies found a deceased male in the bathtub in the rear of the home. The home had recently caught on fire on March 16, 2019. It has not been determined if the male is a possible casualty of the fire from that date. The male was pronounced deceased on the scene, by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office.

This incident is being investigated as a suspicious death until a cause of death can be determined. The male’s identity and cause of death is pending autopsy.
