The victim has been Identified as 51yr old Jeffery McKuhen of Macon.
This incident is still under investigation.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a person reported dead at 1665 Houston Ave, just after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. It was initially reported that a person was found dead from a gunshot wound, inside of an abandoned house. When deputies arrived at the scene they found the male unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. The deceased man has not yet been identified. At this time the case is being treated as a suspicious death and investigated as a homicide until cause of death is determined. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
