An off duty Bibb Sheriff’s Investigator was working a part time job at the Waffle House, located at 840 Riverside Drive. At around 1:30a.m., he noticed a vehicle pull into the parking lot with four occupants. One of the back seat occupants was pointing a pistol at another occupant. It appeared as if the back seat occupant was playing with a pistol.
The investigator called for backup and made contact with the occupants of the vehicle. Two stolen pistols were recovered from the vehicle. One of the pistols was determined to be stolen out of the Atlanta area.
The two men who were in the back of the car were taken into custody, without incident. The two men who were in the front seat were released. No one was injured during this incident.
Daebreon Jyquae Mims, age 17, from Macon, was charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property-Felony and Possession of a Pistol or Revolver by a Person under 18 years of age. He is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center with a $9,750.00 bond.
Tyrese Lavares Lester, age 18, also from Macon, was charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property-Felony. He is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center with a $4,050.00 bond.
