The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision with serious injury. The collision was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 8:52 p.m. Tuesday.

According to witness statements, a red Infiniti sedan and a burgundy Chevrolet Equinox collided in the 1700 block of Rocky Creek Road. The driver of the Chevrolet was pulling onto Rocky Creek Road, from an apartment complex, when the collision occurred.

It was stated that the driver of the Chevrolet was ejected from the vehicle and landed under the Infiniti. The driver of the Chevrolet, 59-year-old Shirley Dukes, was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Dukes is currently listed to be in critical condition. The driver of the Infiniti was transported to the hospital and has since been released.
