The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident that occurred on Broadway at Fulton Street South.
It was reported that at 07:33 a.m. a black SUV failed to stop at the stop sign coming off Fulton Street South onto Broadway. Witnesses stated that the SUV struck a Dodge Charger traveling north on Broadway. The Dodge Charger then left the roadway and struck a gas line causing it to break.
The driver of the Charger, a 26-year-old male, from Hampton Ga., was taken to the Coliseum Hospital for complaints of injuries. No one else was injured during the incident. Atlanta Gas in on the scene and working to repair the break. There is no further information on the black SUV that left the scene. The roadway is now open to traffic.
