The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident with injuries that occurred on I- 475 north bound at the I-75 split just before 12:00 a.m.
It was reported that 19-year-old Rachel Gonzales, of Norcross Ga, was driving north on I-475 in a 2002 Chevy Suburban when she lost control of the vehicle striking a guardrail causing the vehicle to roll over. The vehicle was also occupied by 20-year-old Mario Ortiz Mira and their 5-month old daughter. It was reported that the 5-month old was ejected from the vehicle.
All three were taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center for treatment. The 5-month old is listed in stable condition at this time. Gonzales and Mira are listed in stable condition at this time.
The roadway was closed while investigators examined the scene, the roadway has been cleared and is back open at this time.
