Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a traffic accident with injuries that occurred at around 12:17a.m., this morning. The accident happened on Log Cabin Drive, near Hollingsworth Road. It was reported that 28 year old Vareeka Baldwin, of Macon was driving a 1994 Honda Accord. Baldwin was traveling north on Log Cabin Drive, approaching the bridge that crosses over Rocky Creek.

According to witness statements, Baldwin veered to the right and struck the guardrail. The impact moved her into oncoming traffic. Baldwin’s vehicle struck a 1997 Lexus ES300, driven by 33 year old, Brent Davis of Macon. Davis was originally heading south on Log Cabin Road.

A Nissan Altima, driven by 19 year old Patrick Allison of Macon, was traveling south on Log Cabin Road. As he approached the accident scene, he attempted to swerve to miss both vehicles. Allison was unsuccessful in avoiding the accident and struck Davis and Baldwin’s vehicles.

Vareeka Baldwin, her passenger, 25 year old Danielle Woods, and the driver of the Lexus, Brent Davis, were all three transported to the Navicent Health Center, to be treated for injuries sustained from the accident.

Danielle Woods is listed in critical condition. Vareeka Baldwin and Brent Davis are both listed to be in stable condition. Allison was checked by EMS at the scene but was not transported for any injuries.
