The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident on I-16 West just before I-75 North. Upon arrival Patrol Deputies found a three car accident.
Driver (1) which was a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee white in color driven by 28 year old Katherine Collier.
It was reported that Collier ran into the back of Driver (2).
Driver(2), 23 year old Jacquelin Mayen who was driving a tan 2000 Honda Accord in which the 2015 Jeep came to rest on top of.
After being struck, Driver (2) then ran into the back of driver (3)
Driver(3), 39 year old Sparkle Quick who was driving a 53 foot 18 wheeler.
Driver (1) and driver (2) were transported to the medical center for treatment for their injuries.
Their injuries are non-life threatening. Driver (1) had 2 passengers, a 1year old and 3 year old in the back seat properly secured by car seats. Passengers were not injured.
No citations have been issued at this time.
