Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Investigators arrested two Macon men during a shots fired call. It was reported that an  Investigator was on Third Avenue when he heard the call go out, for shots fired in the Pleasant Hill neighborhood. The investigator located the vehicle that was described as being driven in reference to the call.  He initiated his blue lights and the driver refused to stop. The driver led the investigator and additional units on a  brief vehicle pursuit  beginning on Third Avenue and ending on Gillard Street.

After the vehicle was stopped,  investigators detained and identified the driver as 19-year-old Khalil Malik Raines and the passenger as 17-year-old Jalan Malik Young.  Investigators recovered two handguns; one of the handguns was found to be  reported stolen, one ounce of marijuana, and a scale that was possibly being used to weigh the marijuana.

Raines was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for the charges of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Acquiring License Plate for Purpose of Concealing Identification of Motor Vehicle, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm During a Commission of, or Attempt to Commit Certain Felonies/Purchase, Possession, Manufacture, Distribution, or Sale of Marijuana.  Raines  is currently being held, without bond.

Young was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for the charges of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (2 counts ), Possession of a Firearm During a Commission of or Attempt to Commit Certain Felonies/Purchase, Possession, Manufacture, Distribution, or Sale of Marijuana,  Young  is currently being held, without bond.
