Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies arrested two Florida men for passing counterfeit money on July 22, 2019, just before 10:30 p.m. Deputies were called to 4690 Presidential Parkway, Macon Crab House, in regards to two men that paid for their meal with counterfeit one hundred dollar bills.

When deputies arrived they were informed that two men ran up a $116.00 bill and paid with two one hundred dollar bills. When the employees checked the bills, they showed as being counterfeit. One of the suspects left a small bag and said that he would be back to get it.

Deputies were able to hide out of sight and wait for the suspects to return. When the suspects returned, deputies were able to take both subjects into custody without incident. Deputies located a total of eight counterfeit bills the suspects used or were on their person. Deputies also found a small bag of heroin in the bag that was left behind.

The suspects were identified as 41-year-old William Franklin Gilbert and 33-year-old Nicholas Andrew Parker, both are from Zephyrhills Florida.

Gilbert was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with two counts of Forgery in the First Degree, one count of Forgery in the Second Degree and Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance. He is being held on a $2,950.00 bond at this time.

Parker was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with one count of Forgery in the First Degree, one count of Forgery in the Second Degree and Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance. He is being held on an $11,400.00 bond at this time.
