On August 6, 2019, at 09:14 a.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Animal Enforcement Officers responded to an address in the 1100 block of Pio Nono Avenue in regards to an injured animal.

It was determined that a dog had been struck by a car between two to four weeks prior. The dog’s leg was broken and never treated for the injury. The owners of the dog were identified as 48-year-old Walter Charles Morris and 25-year-old Noel Latonia Adams of Macon. There were four dogs removed from the residence, including the injured dog, which was taken for treatment by Animal Enforcement.

Morris and Adams were taken to the Bibb County jail and charged with one count of Animal Cruelty each. Both Morris and Adams were released on August 6, 2019, on a $5,700.00 bond.
