On October 7, 2019, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators were tipped to a possible plan by inmates of the Bibb County Jail to have drugs brought in from the outside. Investigators were able to monitor phone calls from 40-year-old inmate John William Haygood to girlfriend instructing her on how to drop off the drugs to him.

Investigators watched a friend of Haygood, 21-year-old Kyle Quinton Guilliams, drop off a package in the trash can at the 7th Street, Macon-Bibb, gas pumps. Investigators recovered the package after Guilliams left and located approximately three grams of Methamphetamine and tobacco contraband. Guilliams had been instructed to drop the package at the Hazel Street gas pumps. It was later determined that he made the drop at the wrong location by accident.

On October 9, 2019, at 2:04 p.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators along with Patrol Deputies took 39-year-old Shelia Marie Page into custody, without incident, as she was attempting to drop off more tobacco contraband at the Sheriff’s Office Hazel Street gas pumps/car wash.

Patrol deputies and Investigators then went to an address in 4300 block of Ayers Road and took Guilliams into custody without incident.

Page was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Use of Communication Facility In Commission of a Felony Involving Controlled Substances, Use of Communication Facilities in Drug Transaction, Attempt of Conspiracy to Violate Georgia Controlled Substance Act and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute. She is being held without bond at this time.

Guilliams was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with the Use of Communication Facilities in Drug Transaction, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute. He is being held without bond at this time.

Haygood who was already in jail but on an outside work detail, at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office car wash/gas pumps, was returned to the main jail and charges of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, Attempt of Conspiracy to Violate Georgia Controlled Substance Act and Use of Communication Facilities in Drug Transaction were added to his jail file. He is being held without bond at this time.
