Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies were checking the area of Napier Avenue and Park Avenue when they witnessed a maroon Mercury Grand Marquis with no tag lights. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.

Deputies made contact with the driver, 18-year-old Shamar Jartavious Robinson of Macon. While deputies were talking to Robinson they could smell a strong odor of Marijuana coming from the car.

The passenger of the car, 18-year-old Adairrius Tyreik Copeland, of Macon, informed them that he had admitted to having Marijuana on his person. Copeland was taken into custody at that time.

Deputies then conducted a search of the vehicle and located a 9mm pistol under the driver’s seat. It was determined that the pistol had been reported stolen on October 2, 2018, from an entering auto case.

Robinson was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property. He was released on May 6, 2019, on a $2,950.00 bond.

Copeland was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession of Marijuana Less than an ounce. He was released on May 4, 2019, on a $1,300.00 bond.
