Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies responded to a dispute at a residence in the 900 block of Ponce De Leon Circle South on April 18, 2019 just after 11:00 pm.
When deputies arrived they found 39-year-old Dwayne Eli Lawrence, of Macon, arguing with his roommates. During the argument, Lawrence had become very belligerent and was disturbing the neighborhood. A friend of Lawrence arrived on the scene and was going to take him off to calm down. While Lawrence was getting some items he retrieved a firearm from his bedroom.
Deputies were able to detain Lawrence without incident. When they checked the firearm it was discovered that it had been reported stolen in Bibb County in 2017.
Lawrence was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property. He is being held on a $4,700 at this time.
