Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested two Macon men for possession at Rosa Jackson Center. Deputies were checking the Rosa Jackson Center on June 25, 2019, at 01:15 a.m. when they witnessed gold Honda Accord pull into the parking lot and cut its lights off.

When deputies went to make contact with the occupants the rear passenger got out and ran off. Deputies were able to apprehend him without incident. The suspect 18-year-old Jarhaad Jean Bass, of Macon, had thrown a pistol into the bushes while running but deputies were able to locate the firearm.

While they were chasing him the vehicle tried to pull off but was stopped by other deputies on Maynard Street. The driver of the vehicle 18-year-old Mckendree Thyheem Warthen, of Macon, was detained. When deputies searched the vehicle they located a black in color pellet gun under the driver seat.

Bass was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Obstruction of Peace Officer and Felony Fleeing and Eluding. He is was released on a $9,950.00 on June 25, 2019.

Warthen was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Felony Fleeing and Eluding and Obstruction of Peace Officer. He was released on a $4,250.00 bond on June 25, 2019.
