Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies arrest a Macon man after discovering a suspicious vehicle, parked the wrong way on Peter Street. When the deputy tried to make contact with the male driver of the vehicle, he fled on foot leaving a female passenger in the car.
 
The female also attempted to flee the scene, but was detained by deputies. The male subject was located in an abandoned Duplex, near the incident location. He was taken into custody without incident.
 
Deputies discovered that the suspects were inside of a stolen vehicle. After further investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle tag was reported stolen and a second stolen car tag was located inside of the vehicle.
Deputies also located over a half ounce of cocaine inside of the vehicle.
 
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 38-year-old Airris Montez Wooten, of Macon. Wooten was charged with two counts of Obstruction of a Peace Officer, two counts of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property-Misdemeanor, one count Theft by Receiving Stolen Property-Felony, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Improper Parking, and Probation Violation. Wooten also had an outstanding warrant for Battery Family Violence, in an unrelated case. He is being held on $17,710 bond in the Bibb County jail.
 
The female passenger was identified as 30-year-old Stephanie Astar Johnson, of Macon. Johnson was charged with Obstruction of a Peace Officer and is being held on $1,520 bond in the Bibb County jail.
