On September 30, 2020, at 09:30 a.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Macon man with large quantities of drugs and multiple guns.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, along with the Bibb County Sheriff’s S.W.A.T. Team, conducted a search warrant at a residence in the 1600 block of Hamilton Drive. During the search of the residence, deputies located eight point seven pounds of marijuana, six hundred and ninety-one pills of Amphetamine, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Soma, and other controlled drugs. There were also packaging material and digital scales along with five firearms. One of the firearms was reported stolen out of Jones County in 2001.

Deputies detained 30-year-old D’Angelo Bernard Stokes Jr.  Stokes was transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance in Schedule I or Narcotic in Schedule II, five counts of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Possession of with Intent of Marijuana within 1,000 feet of a School, and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property Firearm. He is being held without bond at this time.
