On July 11, 2019, just before midnight, Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol deputies were checking the area of Eisenhower Parkway and Romeiser Drive. They spotted a red Dodge Durango that was owned by a subject that is known to have a suspended license.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver 24-year-old Carlos Norsworthy. While talking to Norsworthy deputies could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The rear passenger 17-year-old Romello Damond Campbell, of Macon along with Norsworthy, was asked about marijuana being in the vehicle. Both denied having any marijuana. While deputies were checking the vehicle they located a bag that was beside Campbell in the rear seat that had bags of Marijuana and a 9mm pistol in it.

Deputies took Campbell into custody and he was taken to the Bibb County Jail on charges of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony. He is being held on a $4,050.00 bond at this time.

Norsworthy was released with a warning for driving on a suspended license and a licensed driver was allowed to take the vehicle.
