On July 20, 2019, at 4:23 p.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies were called to the Kroger at 4650 Forsyth Road in regards to a white female shoplifting. When deputies arrived they were informed that a white female had taken beauty supplies totaling $126.36 without paying for the merchandise. Deputies were told that the suspect had gotten into her vehicle to flee from employees and hit another vehicle while backing out, before leaving the parking lot. No one was injured during the incident.

Deputies were given a tag number on the Nissan Maxima the suspect was driving. Deputies went to the address and were able to locate the suspect and the vehicle. The suspect was identified as 24-year-old Brianna Dawn Bruce, of Macon.

Deputies took Bruce into custody without incident and were able to locate all the stolen items. While checking Bruce and the vehicle, deputies located drug paraphernalia and drugs on her person and a pistol in her vehicle.

Bruce was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Theft by Shoplifting, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Related Objects. She was released on July 21, 2019, at 1:42 p.m. on an $11,700.00 bond.
