Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrest 24-year-old Corey Deshawn Stewart for a Commercial Robbery that took place at 10:46 p.m. at Papa John’s Pizza located at 1350 Gray Highway.
It was reported that Stewart walked into the store and when asked if he had an order, he responded, “No”. Stewart then approached the store employees and threatened to shoot the business up if he didn’t receive any money. After not receiving any cash from the employees Stewart walked into the restroom.
While Stewart was in the restroom a store employee retrieved their handgun and held Stewart at gunpoint until deputies arrived. No one was injured during this incident.
Stewart was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit A Felony and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Stewart does not have a bond at this time.
