A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputy was patrolling the area of Montpelier Avenue and Pansy Avenue when they spotted a Honda Accord with a suspended tag on June 27, 2019, at 2:00 p.m…

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, 34-year-old Andre Gaither, of Macon. When deputies walked up to the car they could smell where Gaither had just sprayed a lot of air freshener as if he was covering up another odor. When deputies asked him if there were any drugs in the vehicle he confessed that he had Marijuana in the vehicle.

Deputies detained Gaither and searched the vehicle. They located a bag of marijuana along with packaging materials and a digital scale. Deputies also found a bag of Methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Gaither was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Driving While Unlicensed. He is being he held on an $18,200.00 bond at this time.
