On August 11, 2019, at 11:12 a.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at an address in the 1200 block of Holt Avenue. Deputies made contact with the caller who advised that her boyfriend was mad because she would not cook breakfast. She stated that her boyfriend threw a glass of water in her face and threatened her.
Deputies made contact with 58-year-old Michael Keith Smith, who was found walking in the area on Montpelier Avenue. Deputies returned to the Holt address where they located a bag of marijuana and an Inter Arms 38 revolver that belonged to Smith.
Smith was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Simple Battery Family Violence, Possession of Marijuana Within 1,000 Feet of a School and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He is being held without bond at this time.
