On November 6, 2019, at 11:30 p.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were patrolling the area of Napier Avenue and Radio Drive, in regards to it being a known high drug crime area.

Deputies witnessed a black male in a dark shirt and red pants run from an abandoned residence on Radio Drive. Deputies were able to chase the subject, later identified as 27-year-old Antonio Jamal Easley, of Macon, and caught up to him in the woods behind the house. Easley began fighting deputies when they attempted to detain him. Deputies were able to get Easley in handcuff after struggling with him for several minutes.

When deputies were checking Easley for weapons, they located a bag of Marijuana and a bag of pills and five 9mm bullets.

Easley was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Obstruction of Peace Officer, and Misdemeanor Obstruction of Peace Officer. Easley also has several warrants from a domestic violence case. He is being held without bond at this time.
