On February 15, 2019 just after 12:00pm Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit Investigators along with the Department of Homeland Security, D.E.A. Clandestine Lab Team and the U.S.P.S. Postal Inspectors executed a search warrant at 2693 Andy Drive.
The case originated when the U.S.P.S. Postal Inspectors found a chemical substance being shipped to the Andy Drive address.
During the search of the residence a crude chemical lab was found. The lab was set up in attempts to make what appeared to be Ecstasy (M.D.M.A.). The D.E.A. Clandestine Lab Team removed the chemicals for testing and disposal.
41 year-old Tavern Lave Downing Sr. of Macon, was charged with Trafficking Schedule I Controlled Substance and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon. He is being held in the Bibb County Jail without bond.
