On August 14, 2019, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address in the 600 block of Pringle Street in regards to an aggravated assault, just after 9:00 p.m.

It was reported that a black Buick Escalade drove into the driveway with blue emergency strobe lights flashing and then drove down the road. Just a short time later the vehicle came back with the blue strobe emergency lights flashing and stopped in front of 645 Pringle Street. The homeowner made contact with the driver. It was during this contact that the driver fired several shots and then drove off.

It was stated that the driver was possibly 25-year-old Richard Roland Robinson, of Macon. Bibb Sheriff Investigators were able to make contact with Robinson on August 15, 2019, at his funeral home located at 3275 Pio Nono Avenue and he was taken to the Investigations Office for questioning. During questioning it was determined that Robinson was the suspect that fired a gun at the residence on Pringle Street and impersonated a peace officer by using the blue strobe lights on his vehicle.

Robinson was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault and Impersonating a Peace Officer. Robinson was released on August 15, 2019, on an $84,400.00 bond.
