The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing incident at a boarding house, located at 3783 Rice Mill Road. The incident occurred at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night.
Witnesses stated that they heard arguing coming from a room occupied by 50-year-old Evonne Smith. She was reported to have been arguing with her boyfriend, 37-year-old Eugene Santel Clark, who was visiting her at the Rice Mill Road address. During the course of the argument Clark was stabbed in the chest.
Clark was transported to the Navicent by ambulance and is listed to be in stable condition.
Smith was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for the charge of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder. She is currently being held without bond.
