The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with LexisNexis Risk Solutions to implement an online citizen reporting system. This new system will make more efficient use of the agencies limited resources. An added benefit of the system during this time of COVID-19, is the ability for the citizens to practice social distancing while ensuring that their crimes and complaints are properly documented and addressed.

Beginning Wednesday, September 16th, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office will allow community members to file certain police reports online through the Coplogic Desk Officer Reporting System (DORS).  Use of this system will provide more immediate and easier service to the community members of Macon-Bibb County. It will also help the Sheriff’s Office to provide for better allocation of resources.

Sheriff David Davis said, “Online incident reporting allows deputies to stay focused on the immediate needs of the community. Additionally, in light of the current COVID pandemic, this service reduces the risk of exposure to deputies and residents for non-critical reports. Community members are encouraged to use this new online resource to ensure safe, reliable, and prompt reporting of incidents.”

DORS provides a fast and effective way for community members to report a variety of incidents to the Sheriff’s Office online. Rather than visit the Sheriff’s Office in person or have a deputy dispatched, anyone can now report minor incidents online.

Examples of things that can be reported online are Animal Enforcement Complaints, Deposit Account Fraud, Identity Theft, Property Damage, Property Theft, Traffic Complaints, Vandalism, and Vehicle Theft.
