The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 26yr old Rashad Marquez Mays who is wanted for questioning in connection with the murder that happened at the Econolodge earlier this date. A photograph of Mays is attached. The next of kin of the victim has not been notified yet.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Homicide in North Macon
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred at 1990 Riverside Dr., Econolodge, just before 3:30p.m. Sunday evening. Deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival they found a black male lying in the driveway of the Econolodge with a gunshot to the back. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene. The next of kin has not been notified. The suspect had already fled the scene before Deputies arrived. No one else was injured during the incident. There is no suspect information at this time.
