The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing person. Robert Harris Jr., 78 years old of Macon, was last seen by his nephew, Ronnie Smith, at their residence located at 4344 West Highland Drive just before 8:00AM Saturday morning. Harris left the apartment after telling Smith he was going to see his doctor. Smith had told him the doctor’s office was closed on Saturday.
Harris is a black male. He is 6 feet 2 inches in height and weighs approximately 220 pounds. He has gray hair and is balding. He was wearing khaki pants, a gray sweatshirt, a forest green colored jacket and shoes and a green and white ball cap. He was also carrying an umbrella. According to Smith, Harris has dementia. Harris is known to ride the bus and frequents the downtown area. Smith did not have a recent picture of Harris. The photo attached is from 2002.
