Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping identify the driver involved in a “hit and run” accident, involving a pedestrian that occurred on November 3, 2018. The vehicle involved appears to be a four-door, midsize vehicle. The vehicle is possibly gold or tan in color. The driver of the vehicle was last seen traveling south on Saint Charles Place at around 4:44 p.m.

The victim of the pedestrian involved accident, seven-year old Zmya Whitus, remains at the hospital in stable condition.

It was reported that Zmya Whitus, age 7, was at the edge of her driveway when she was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle was traveling south on Saint Charles Place and continued in the same direction after the accident occurred.
Whitus was transported to the hospital and is listed to be in stable condition. No one else was injured during this incident.
This accident is under investigation. The vehicle is possibly a Honda or Nissan, with four doors. There is no further information on the driver or vehicle at this time. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
