The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place at the AK Express, located at 1091 Clinton Road. The incident occurred at around 12:35 a.m. on Monday morning.

According to witness statements, two unknown suspects entered the store brandishing handguns, after a female and a shirtless male held the door open for them.  The two suspects entered the store and first demanded money from the three customers inside the business. The suspects attempted to gain access behind the store counter, but were unsuccessful because the employees were locked-in behind security glass.  Once the suspects received an undisclosed amount of cash from store customers, they fled the business in an unknown direction. No one was injured during this incident.

The first  suspect is described as a black male approximately  5’9”, and 120 lbs.  He was wearing a pink, blue, yellow and white tie-dyed hoodie with a pink face mask, possibly sunglasses, torn black and gray jeans, black shoes and gloves.

The second suspect is described as a black male approximately 5’8”, and 120 lbs.  He was wearing a black and white hoodie with a black t-shirt pulled over the hoodie, black shorts, black shoes and his face covered.

The shirtless male that opened the door is described as a black male approximately 5’8”, 190 lbs., with short hair, a beard and black and white pants, with black slides.

The female is described as a black female approximately  5’6”, 200 lbs., with medium braids, a gray shirt, white shorts and white slides.
