The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a pedestrian involved traffic accident that took place in the 3700 block of Mercer University Drive. The accident took place at around 10:07p.m., Saturday night.
It was reported that a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by 28-year-old Tiyanna Chaney of Forsyth, was traveling in the right lane as she was headed west on Mercer University Drive. A pedestrian, 69-year-old Michael Lorin Brown of Macon was crossing Mercer University and walked into the path of Chaney’s vehicle. Chaney’s vehicle collided with Brown.
Brown was transported to the Navicent. He is currently listed to be in critical condition. No one else was injured during this incident.
