The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident involving a pedestrian that happened in 4200 block of Pio Nono Avenue at 9:07 p.m.
Deputies responded to the area in regards to a pedestrian that was struck on Pio Nono Avenue near Glendale Avenue. Upon arrival they found a 64-year-old male, of Macon, that walked into traffic and was struck by a Honda Civic traveling south on Pio Nono Avenue. The male victim was transported to the Navicent Health Medical Center and pronounced deceased by staff. No one else was injured during the incident. Next of kin has not been notified at this time. No charges have been filed.
