Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to an address in the 100 block of Lokchapee Landing in regards to Animal Enforcement responding to a person bit by a dog.

When deputies arrived they were informed by Animal Enforcement that 40-year-old Robin Marie Fender, of Macon, had been bitten by a Chihuahua. While talking to Fender deputies learned that Fender had removed the dog from a house on Saint Charles Place. It was discovered that the owner of the Chihuahua and its four puppies, that Fender took, was in the Houston County Jail.

Deputies were able to determine that Fender had broken into the house and removed the animals without the owner’s permission. The owner of the dogs had a neighbor who was caring for the animals, while she was in jail. The dogs were taken to Animal Welfare for safekeeping until the owner can pick them up.

Fender was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Burglary. She is being held on an $8,450.00 bond at this time.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751 -7500 or the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
