Bibb County Sheriff’s Property Investigators arrested two juveniles in connection with two separate commercial burglaries. A 12-year-old juvenile and 13-year-old were taken into custody in connection with the commercial burglary of the Family Dollar, located at 2123 Pionono Avenue. This incident occurred at 1:48 a.m. on July 25, 2019.

It was reported that several black male juveniles busted the front glass door, entered the store and then took food, clothing, and electronic items. Some of the stolen items were recovered outside of the store. This is an ongoing investigation. Additional arrests are pending further investigation.

The 13-year-old involved in the Family Dollar Burglary, mentioned above,  was also charged in connection with a commercial burglary of Academy Sports, located at 1689 Eisenhower Parkway. The incident took place  at around 12:30 a.m. on July 25, 2019. It was reported that two black male suspects entered the store by smashing the front glass door. The suspects stole four  rifles from behind the gun counter and then fled the store in an  unknown direction. This is an ongoing investigation.  Additional arrests are pending further investigation.

Both  juveniles were transported to the RYDC and are awaiting trial.
