The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at a boarding house, located at 2831 Roy Street, The Sheriff’s Office received the call just after 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night.
It was reported that male was fatally shot while inside of the house. The victim is identified as Norbert Volmar Jr., age 36. The next of kin has been notified, according to the Coroner’s Office.
There were approximately three other occupants inside of the home during the incident. They were not injured.
The investigation into this incident is in its early stages, additional information will be released as it becomes available.
