The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that was reported near the intersection of Houston Avenue and Cynthia Avenue. The incident was called in just after 12:30 a.m.
When deputies arrived on scene they found two male victims outside of the apartment complex on Cynthia Avenue. Both victims were transported to the Navicent Health Center to be treated for their wounds. The first victim was struck in the buttocks, his injuries are non-life-threatening. The second victim was struck in his side, he was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Investigators are continuing to investigate this incident in an attempt to determine the events surrounding this incident.
