The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Homicide incident that was reported at around 9:30 a.m., Friday morning.
It was reported that a passerby was walking in the area of Churchill Street and discovered a body under a mattress. The area was covered with debris from illegal dumping. Investigators are following leads and believe that the homicide occurred at a different location. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
The victim was identified as 26-year-old Amond Rashad Norwood of Macon. Norwood was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Bibb County Coroner. The next of kin has been notified.
