The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Home Invasion and Aggravated Assault incident that occurred at 3608 Wericoba Dr. just before 11:00pm Sunday night. It was reported that 27yr old Michael Hughes was at home when two black males knocked on his front door. When Hughes answered the males told him to “give it up”. When Hughes told the subjects he didn’t have anything, he was shot in the leg by one of the suspects.
No other information is available on the suspects at this time. Hughes was taken to the Navicent Health Hospital and is listed in critical condition. No one else was injured in the incident.
