The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a “hit and run” accident, involving a pedestrian. The accident took place at 4077 Saint Charles Place and occurred at around 4:44p.m.
It was reported that Zmya Whitus, age 7, was at the edge of her driveway when she was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle was traveling south on Saint Charles Place and continued in the same direction after the accident occurred.
Whitus was transported to the hospital and is listed to be in stable condition. No one else was injured during this incident.
This accident is under investigation. The vehicle is possibly a Honda or Nissan, with four doors. There is no further information on the driver or vehicle at this time. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
