A private funeral service for Bibb Sheriff’s Deputy Kenterrous Taylor will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., at the Macon Memorial Park located at 3969 Mercer University Drive.

Due to the state of emergency which has been declared at the national, state and local level, due to COVID-19, it is very regrettable that the funeral for Deputy Kenterrous Taylor, must be held privately, at graveside. The service will be carefully managed by the funeral director and with selected members of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office assisting.

The graveside service will not be open to the general public in the interest of the public health and safety. All members of the public will be turned away at the cemetery.

Please rest assured that once the social limitations imposed by the current state of affairs are no longer necessary, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office will assist the family in planning a public memorial service which will be a truly fitting tribute to Deputy Taylor and his service to our community.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office will be escorting the family to the cemetery and traffic delays and road closures will be expected. Road closures will begin at around 12:30 pm.

The following roads will be closed during the escort of Deputy Kenterrous Taylor’s family:
