Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators, along with the U.S. Postal Inspectors Office, Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrested a fourth subject regarding mail and identity theft.

On August 28, 2020, at 10:25 a.m., a search warrant was executed at an address in the 5700 block of Thomaston Road. Deputies from Bibb County, Monroe County, Twiggs County, and the U.S Postal Inspector, found 41-year-old Jesse Gary Seabolt, of Macon. During the search, mail and several stolen checks from a local veterinarian office were found. Along with the mail, investigators found Crystal Methamphetamine and electronic devices believed to contain personal information and bank account information of victims. A stolen pistol was also found in the residence with Seabolt.

Seabolt was transported to the Bibb County Investigation office to be interviewed. After Seabolt was interviewed, he was transported to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Printing/Executing/ Negotiating Fictitious Checks, Theft by Deception, five counts of Aggravated Identity Fraud, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, Possession of Drug Related Object, five counts of Financial Transaction Card Theft, and Identity Theft Fraud When Using Identity Information Concerning a Person. Seabolt is being held without bond at this time.

Arrest Made In Forgery Incident

Bibb County Sheriff’s investigators, with the assistance of the United States Postal Inspection Service, made an arrest in a forgery incident on August 14, 2020.

It was reported that investigators executed a search warrant at 105 Holiday Inn Drive at the Clarion Inn.  During the search, mail and several stolen checks from a local veterinarian office were recovered from the room. Also discovered in the room was Crystal Meth and drug related objects.

The suspects taken into custody are 31-year-old Laura Michelle Lamey, of Macon and 38-year-old Jesse Jade Okeefe, of Lizella. Both Lamey and Okeefe were transported to the Bibb County  Investigation office to be interviewed.

After the interviewed, they were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and booked on charges.

Lamey was booked on charges of Forgery, Printing/executing/ negotiating fictitious checks, Possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug related objects. Her bond is set at $23,665.00.

Okeefe was charged with Possession of drug related objects and Possession  of a controlled substance within one thousand feet of a school. His bond is set at $10,265.00.
