Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, along with the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrested one of Macon Regional Crimestoppers 15 Most Wanted without incident just after 10:00 a.m. this morning.

24-year-old Takeymia Dashawn Watts was taken into custody at a residence in the 1100 block of Scotland Avenue.  The arrest came as the result of a Crimestoppers tip.

When deputies detained Watts for a Violation of Probation warrant, they also found two firearms inside the residence with him. One of the firearms was a Springfield Armory rifle that was stolen during a burglary at Academy Sports on July 26, 2019. The second firearm was a Ruger pistol, which was taken during an Entering Auto at 1400 Gray Highway on May 12, 2019.

Watts was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigations Office for questioning and was charged with two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, two counts of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, and a Violation of Probation warrant. He is being held without bond at this time.
